Amazon.com Review
Compatible with FoodSaver brand and most other brands of vacuum packaging systems, this 11-inch-by-18-foot roll of plastic bagging material creates custom bags for storing perishable foods of any size or shape. When used with a sealing appliance, this heavy-duty nylon-reinforced wrap preserves food's flavor and freshness for up to five times longer than other storage methods. This is because the bags have channels that make air removal more efficient and a 5-ply construction that offers a better barrier against moisture and oxygen in either the refrigerator or freezer. The bags actually prevent freezer burn plus they are conveniently safe for boiling or the microwave to make reheating frozen home-cooked meals a cinch. Bags can be washed out by hand or in the dishwasher and reused as long as they have not previously stored raw meats, fish, or greasy foods that can pass along food-borne illnesses. --Cristina Vaamonde
